Love the Heavy Metal Drummer song... but some of this is too Mac & Cheesey for me. :)
I care for neither religion, nor reggae dub music, and yet I can't get enough of the Matisyahu. Weird, huh? Anyway, King w/o a Crown is a great song.
Oh, and Birdhouse In Your Soul was my favorite song when I was in junior high, and that's awesome.
You can never go wrong with Ben Folds.
"Say I'm the only BEE in your bonnet!"
Did you plan that?
"Just a Ride" by Jem and the Holograms? Awesome.
Eventually adult alternative claims us all, Blythe. Don't worry. It will be fine.
9er - that's a good one, isn't it? gets stuck in your head so easily. until you fall in love with another.
clinton - i know, right? kabala.
s0@24 - no, i did not. not to put too fine a point on it.
john - i wish. no songs could be that cool. the bad thing about jem was that her clothes were not interchangable with barbie's. that was hard for my small little head to understand. still is.
m5k - yeah, yeah. funny story. i was reviewing that list thinking, wow, i could have my own sirius station. then i started thinking about this little radio station i loved in northampton called the river. then i started thinking, i wonder if you can listen online. then i found out you can. then i discovered that they have played almost every one of those songs in the past week. explains a lot. www.wris.com. check it, fools.
I really enjoy Cake for some reason. Both the band and the dessert.
i'm going to see modest mouse 11/17, we can compare notes on awesomeness...
i want to hear ' bukowski' live.
"all that icing and all that cake, i couldn't make it to your wedding, but i'm
sure i'll be at your wake..."
i thought we talked about the consistency thing.
and
11/2 - Will Hoge & Avett Brothers @ Granada Theater in Dallas
I've been obsessed with the new Caribou album the last two weeks but was unfortunately was out of town when they visited Cambridge during that stretch. Please go to that show and report back to me about how much I suck for missing them.
I would have added "Up On Crutches" by the Sea and Cake. I got the Peter Bjorn and John show in NYC. The Clientele opened up for them-it was amazing. Run don't walk to Architecture in Helsinki.
I got=I went....need more coffee
decision time on 11/2: Spoon @ the Hard Rock w/ the New Pornographers
