It's Friday, I'm in Love

with the most wonderful time of the year! No, not when all of my STD tests come back negative, but... wait for it... Girl Scout Cookie time! They're everywhere and they're delicious, so head out to your nearest Wal-Mart because these little ladies are sitting at a table in front, mopping up the drool from the "greeter," waiting to take your money. I only eat Thin Mints, Shortbread and Peanut Butter Patties. I am a boring purist. It would take at least $5 to get me to eat a Samoa because those things are gross and even look gross. MMMMMMMM!

Let me blow your mind:

1 sleeve of Thin Mints
2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
vodka to taste

Dump all of the above in a blender and frappe the fuck out of it.

Drink, enjoy, drink more, pass out.

I only eat Samoas. Love the Samoas.

It doesn't mean we're enemies. It means we're, like, complementary.

Clinton, I like the way you think.

does the above recipe involve slathering of any kind?

also the shortbread with the lemon icing are delish! they're shaped like lemon slices so as to make us fatties think it's fruit and thus good for us. those pranksters!

I haven't seen a Girl Scout out selling cookies yet and I'm unemployed, so no parents are trying to get me to buy.

I'm safe, but only for now. It's just a matter of time before they get to me and I eat a sleeve of frozen Thin Mints in 20 minutes. That's right, sometimes I can wait for them to get cold in the freezer before devouring them!

Girls Scout Cookie trivia:

- Cookies offered differ by region of the country, except Thin Mint, Peanut Butter Sandwich and Shortbread, which must be sold nationwide. But....
- Cookies go by different names regionally: Samoa=Caramel DeLite, Shortbread=Trefoil,....
- Some people eat Thin Mints at room temperature instead of frozen. If this includes you, seek medical assistance or counseling immediately.
- My daughter was bitten by a neighbors dog while selling cookies, and we didn't sue the crap out of the family. Within 6 months the dog scaled a six foot fence and attacked another neighbor, who required surgery and months of therapy for her injuries. Dog put down. Daughter still loves dogs.

If you live in the part of the country where they call the cookies Caramel DeLites, look for the Asian girl on the cookie order form. She's in a couple pictures. That's my daughter.
