I want to go to there.
I took this from the window of where I stayed last time. Not bad, eh?Get ready. The Bee-Spot is hitting the road (air) for a much needed jaunt to NYC. This week! In like two days! I will catch up with long losts (including gpulp) and eat sichuan seafood dumplings by the bowlful! I haven't been on a plane in two freaking years! I'M SO EXCITED! I'M SO EXCITED! I'M SO scared. Anyway, if you're in the NYC area later this week, and you want to meet me even though I reference Jessie Spano on a regular basis, just let me know. No one? Oh, ok.

i'm glad someone else finds referencing jessie spano on a regular basis as funny as i do.
I've been following your blog for awhile (love it by the way) and had to respond to this post since I'm an Okie living in NYC. Hope you have a great time in the city!
I am from NY and you are a lucky s.o.b. to be going there. I miss the crap out of NY, and hello by the way. I found you in that Oklahoma! magazine thing. :)
We're gonna TEAR THIS TOWN UP. Watch out, ya'll.
LET AWESOMEFEST 2009 BEGIN.
j-gong: i feel the same way about b-dick. i sprinkle every day with b-dick sayings, but no one gets it. no one! no one i tell you! that was acting. thank you.
brooke: thanks, yo! i lived in NY the summer after i graduated from high school. taking my first step out of the cab at 116th and broadway was something i'll never, ever forget. i miss it so.
laure: you're like chandler! yep, a friends reference and jessie spano. i rule. i like to hate on the OK, but it's endearing too. my best friend's in medical school in tulsa, so i go up there sometimes. it's better than okc, let me tell you...

tha math test isn't gonna take itself
If you wear G out, I will be none too happy, as I arrive in NYC just two weeks after you.
All I want to do when I'm there is see art, drink cold hot chocolate (where did I have that???), and watch / comment on people. Oh, and drink all manner of liquor. I had two Old Fashioneds tonight. They were nice. And old fashioned.

Check out Mandarin Court restaurant in Chinatown. They have great dim sum. 61 Mott St. And there's a park about a block west of there where you can peoplewatch while you let the pot stickers, mantou, and congee digest. And then, if you're still hungry, hit up New Beef King near the corner of Bayard and Mulberry (89 Bayard St.) for some delicious morsels of dry meat; it's like eating candy... made from animal.
What's in it for me?
